Denmark, Greece, Hungary and Sweden have joined Germany and Romania as host nations of the rescEU medical tools strategic reserve, the European Commissioner for Disaster Administration Janez Lenarcic introduced on Tuesday.
Speaking to journalists in Brussels, Lenarcic mentioned that the Coronavirus emergency has demonstrated the “restricted availability of private protecting tools and different important medical provides worldwide.”
The rescEU reserve was established in March when the Coronavirus pandemic hit Europe, after it grew to become clear that member states couldn’t reply to the continually growing demand for medical and private protecting tools.
